Cornering Diagrams

Cornering Diagrams

Many of the problems and kart behaviors mentioned in this guide refer to the kart Understeering or Oversteering and also to the different parts of a corner where the bahavior occurs. The diagrams below graphically explain these terms and behaviors.

Standard Corner Apex

The visual representation shows how your chassis should enter the ‘Apex’ of the turn correctly.

Problem - Understeer

Occurs when the front of the kart slides more than the rear, thus making the chassis ‘Push’ straight past the ‘Apex’ instead of turning.

Problem - Oversteer

Occurs when the rear of the kart slides more than the front, thus requiring more steering input to avoid the kart from spinning out.
