Step 8 – Installing Battery and Connecting Wires (LiTime Lithium)

8.1 – Remove the factory handle straps from the battery by using scissors or knife and cutting them off.

8.2 – Place Battery onto side support between the L bracket battery supports. It is best to have the Terminals of the battery facing towards the front of the kart. 

8.3 – Take the Battery Strap Support and place it overtop of the battery. Align the bend tabs on the ends of strap so the hole is in the middle of side support bar. Take a sharpie marker and make a mark for where you will drill your holes. 

8.4 – Remove the battery strap and battery.

8.5 – With a drill using a 1/4″(6mm) drill bit, drill your hole where you had marked in the side nerf bar support. Drill the hole straight down through. Do this on front and back of the bar. 

8.6 – Reinstall Battery and place Battery Strap overtop. Install your M6 bolt and nut hardware to secure the strap to the nerf bar. Recommended to have head of bolt on bottom side of bar with nut on top to have maximum clearance from dragging on track. 

8.7 – Connect your controller to the battery. Using Figure 2 (Harness A), take the Red Wire and attach to Battery (+ RED )Terminal and the Black Wire to attach to Battery ( – BLACK) Terminal.

8.8 – Secure your wires with zip ties so that your wiring is run clean as possible and have no possibility to drag on the ground.
