Step 1: Install the First Chassis Support Bar
- Take one chassis support bar and lubricate it with WD-40 or a similar solution to help it slide into the frame tube against the rubber bushing inside. Keep the support bar as square as possible during installation to avoid difficulties pushing it in if one side is uneven.
- NOTE: If needed, use a dead blow mallet to tap the bar fully into the frame until it bottoms out.
Step 2: Secure the Support Bar to the Frame
- 2.1: Use a drill with a ¼” bit to drill a hole straight down through the frame hole opening in the front tube.
- 2.2: Run the bolt up from the bottom and fasten it with an M6 nylock nut on top. Positioning the bolt head on the bottom is preferable, as it’s shallower and less likely to drag on the track compared to having the nut on the bottom.
- NOTE: Tighten the bolt and nut all the way. With the battery having significant weight, you don’t want to leave the side support loose to reduce it bouncing up and down on track and bending the support or frame as least as possible.
Step 3: Install the Second Support Bar
- Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the other side of the kart to install and secure the second chassis support bar.
