Allen Wrenches

  • 4mm Allen Wrench

  • Electrical Tape
  • Drill
  • 1/4” (6mm) drill bit
  • 3/64” (5mm) drill bit

Step 1: Remove Floor Pan

  • From prior kart build steps you most likely have the floor pan pre installed. You will need to remove it for best results in the next steps below.

Step 2: Prepare Floor Pan with Template Guide

  • Place the guide template onto the floor pan, positioning the front sheet of paper to cover about half of a hole in the middle of the floor pan. Ensure the controller placement is centered on the floor pan, not aligned with the physical edge of the paper.
    • 2.1: Secure the template in your desired location with small pieces of electrical tape to prevent it from moving easily.
    • 2.2: Drill the six mounting holes using a 1/4” (6mm) drill bit.
    • 2.3: Drill the two additional mounting holes using a 13/64” (5mm) drill bit.

Step 3: Install Floor Pan

  • 3.1: Standing at the front of the kart, lift the frame up slightly to slide floor pan into place.
    • NOTE: The floor pan will rest below the back and middle frame tabs and on top of the front most frame tabs. This will prevent the pan from dragging ground in front.
  • 3.2: Begin Installing hardware to mount floor pan to frame.
    •  See floor pan mount bolt kit.
    • Be sure to have rubber washer between frame tab and floor pan.
    • Bolts should come upward through the floor pan with nut on top to clear ground with the flush bolt and washer on bottom.
