The Bridgestone YLC & New YPC compounds are a medium-hard tire on the scale. Used for the lower horsepower engine classes such as LO206 and Yamaha, there is more life to be had through the tire and does not wear down as quickly being that of a harder compound. In relation to the compound being harder, typical track situations call for a slight increase in tire pressure to get more grip.
The Bridgestone YNB compound is on the softer side of the tire scale. This tire compound primarily used for the higher horsepower classes such as TaG 125cc and Shifter applications. As the compound is softer to give a greater amount of grip level thus the tire will tend to wear out at a quicker rate with a shorter lifespan. As the tire side wall is stiffer and the compound is softer this compound allows you to run less air pressure to help keep the tire temperatures down throughout the run giving you a maximum amount of grip for longer time period.
The MG (Red – SH) compound is a hard tire on the scale. Used for the lower horsepower engine classes such as cadet and Yamaha Junior/Senior, there is more life to be had through the tire and does not wear down as quickly being that of a hard compound. In relation to the compound being harder, typical track situations call for a slight increase in tire pressure to get more grip.
The MG (Yellow-SM) compound is on the soft side of the tire scale.
The Evinco(Blue) compound is a hard tire on the scale. Used for the cadet classes in the SuperkartsUSA! series, there is more life to be had through the tire and does not wear down as quickly being that of a hard compound. In relation to the compound being harder, typical track situations call for a slight increase in tire pressure to get more grip.
The Evinco(Red) compound is on the soft side of the tire scale. This tire compound is used in the SuperkartsUSA! series for IAME Junior/Senior, and all Shifter applications.
