David Malukas Inks Deal With Top Kart USA

Top Kart USA and Motorama Kart Parts (MKP) are thrilled to have David back on the team again as he was in years past when they MKP supported the Birel product line. Holding a strong relationship over the past season, even with Malukas continuing to run on the Birel chassis, Top Kart USA and the McLaughlin family supported his efforts but are happy to bring David back on board.

“This is another great opportunity not only for David as a driver but for the team as a whole to improve and learn more about the chassis in the Junior divisions,” explained Bill McLaughlin. “With Top Kart USA drivers Zach Holden and Emerson Reed having strong seasons in the junior ranks, Malukas will provide a little more to the program and will give Top Kart USA a potent trio of drivers that should fight for wins week in and week out.”

The Malukas family along with driver coach and mechanic Wesley Phillips are very excited to finish out the season on the front running chassis.

“David is very excited to be on the Top Kart USA program. He loves the chassis more and more each time on track,” explained Henry Malukas, Father of David. “The support that Top Kart USA and the McLaughlin’s give David will provide him the ability to easily transition from the cadet to the junior classes on the Top Kart chassis, and be competitive immediately.”

David Malukas added, “I have been making time the more I am driving the Top Kart chassis. I am able to give good feedback to my mechanic and the chassis reacts to the changes well. As a driver, I am able to rotate the chassis easy on turn entry, through the corner and no longer need to turn multiple times with the grip that the Top Kart provides. This allows me to be more consistent.”

“Top Kart Racing karts are very user-friendly and they are incredibly easy to work with from a mechanical standpoint,” explained Wes Phillips. “I haven’t really changed anything yet, because David and I haven’t been slow enough to! These karts are running incredibly fast and consistent out of the box and that is critical for David so he can just focus on his driving. This is a 10 out of 10 chassis that everyone needs to try.”

Malukas would like to give a huge thanks to MRP and Birel America for their dedication to the growth and foundation of his racing career thus far. They have been very instrumental in taking part of his sportsman progression though the past few years and David is very grateful for their support and services throughout the years past.

With the change now official, Malukas will quickly spring into action with Top Kart USA and compete at several high profile events. With the WKA finale at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina just around the corner, Malukas will then travel to the new NOLA Karting facility in New Orleans, Louisiana for the final round of the Texas Pro Kart Challenge and the Rotax Pan-American Challenge. The second to last event of the 2013 calendar will see Malukas compete at the tenth annual Newgy Robo-Pong 200 Dan Wheldon Memorial Cup, as he will partner with new teammate Zach Trekking across country for the final on track action of 2013, Malukas will see action in the annual Superkarts! USA SuperNationals.

Looking forward to the 2014 racing season, Top Kart USA is planning to attend the annual Formula Kart Productions Florida Winter Tour. With a transport truck and a full arrive and drive program, Top Kart USA is welcoming drivers who wish to compete with the premiere karting team.
