Problem - UNDERSTEER from the apex and out of the corner and/or the rear of the kart feels stuck to the track making it slow off exit of corner.
Solution
Remove the rubber side pod mounts to allow the side pod bars to slightly float/flex inside the mounting tubes of the chassis.
> Please do note that this is a very minor adjustment.
Side Pod Support Bars
Rubber Mount In
The rubber side pod mounts IN are the standard setting for the chassis. This keeps the side pod stable and firm in the chassis while giving the Top Kart a little more overall grip.
Rubber Mount Removed
Remove the rubber side pod mounts from the side pod tubes to help FREE up the chassis. This change is a very minor adjustment to the chassis but when looking for that extra little bit of grip to take out it is a good option as it can assist in reducing UNDERSTEER.
Front Bumper Bars
The bolts holding the front bumper bars upper and lower are typically best left “tight” or firmly snug, not over tightened. By loosening the front bumper bar bolts this will help in reducing front end/steering grip as a minor change to the chassis.
Rubber Mount In
The upper bumper bar support is typically tightened as standard setup. If you are needing to free up the front of your gokart a simple and very minor adjustment you can make to keep things floating is to break loose the hardware holding the upper bumper bar to the frame. This will increase the flexibility of the front end components.
Rubber Mount Removed
The lower bumper bar support is typically tightened as standard setup. If you are needing to free up the front of your go kart a simple and very minor adjustment you can make to keep things floating is to break loose the hardware holding the lower bumper bar to the frame. This will increase the flexibility of the front end components.
