2017-2020 Torsion Bars

Metal Front Torsion Bar (Standard)

Soft Setting (Standard - 2 Holes Up)

When to use this setting?

  • The STANDARD metal torsion bar is stock with the 2017 Twister chassis and recommended for most common racing conditions.

  • By turning the torsion bar to the SOFT position (2 Holes on top), you will INCREASE the amount of torsion (flex) given to the front end giving the chassis more ability to flex in freeing the go kart up.

  •  This setting is used when you need a DECREASE in overall front end grip.

Stiff Setting (1 Hole Up)

When to use this setting?

  • Running the bar is this position gives an INCREASED level of stability and grip in the front of your go kart.

  • Often used for WET track conditions with a rain setup.

Softest Setting (OUT)

Top Kart USA - No Torsion Bar

When to use this setting?

  • By taking the front torsion bar completely OUT, you are allowing the chassis to INCREASE the amount of torsion (flex) given to the front end and freeing up the chassis overall throughout the corner.

  • No front torsion bar will give the chassis a SOFTER feel and less grip throughout the entirety of the turn.

  • This setting is used when you need a minor DECREASE in overall front end grip.

  • When track conditions are very high level grip situations with built up rubber on track surface.

2012-2016 Torsion Bars

Composite Front Torsion Bar

Standard Setting - Flat

Top Kart USA - Composite Bar IN-Flat

When to use this setting?

  • This torsion bar is the factory standard bar type for the Top Kart chassis. Recommended setting to start as a baseline setup of your chassis.

  • The composite front torsion bar gives the front of the chassis a medium level of grip.

  • Used for standard track conditions with medium to high level grip.

  • This setting helps stabilize the front end without over powering it through the corner.

Stiff Setting (up)

Top Kart USA - Composite Bar IN-UP

When to use this setting?

  • By turning the torsion bar to the UP position, you will DECREASE the amount of torsion (flex) given to the front end.

  • This setting is used when you need just a minor INCREASE in overall front end grip.

Metal Front Torsion Bar (Standard)

Standard Setting - Flat

Top Kart USA - Metal Bar IN-flat

When to use this setting?

  • The METAL torsion bar is typically used when the track is GREEN meaning conditions are very low grip situations throughout the weekend.

  • Compared to the standard COMPOSITE torsion bar, this has a significant DECREASE in the amount of torsion (flex) given to the front end.

  • Often used for WET track conditions with a rain setup.

Stiff Setting (up)

Top Kart USA - Metal Bar IN-up

When to use this setting?

  • By turning the torsion bar to the UP position, you will DECREASE the amount of torsion (flex) given to the front end at the maximum level giving the chassis virtually ZERO ability to flex.

  • This setting is used when you need a major INCREASE in overall front end grip.
